What compotes can be used for pancreatitis?

The general rule is that all compotes that are not prohibited are allowed. Remember that with pancreatitis, it is important to adhere to a sparing diet so as not to irritate the mucous membrane even more. Therefore, compote is needed with long-term cooking, fruit drinks and other drinks that just need to be brewed will not work. First of all, we recommend the rosehip compote - it has cleansing and mild disinfecting properties, improves immunity. This is extremely important if the treatment of pancreatitis came in the fall-spring, when the ways to stock up on vitamins are very limited, and with pancreatitis, they are minimized. Put less sugar in the compote, ideally do not put it at all. Lemon juice and other flavor enhancers during an exacerbation of pancreatitis are excluded.

In addition to rosehip compote, an uzvar is excellent - a compote made from a mixture of dried fruits. Dried fruits are fruits and berries already processed by temperature (drying), and therefore there is no risk that a drink made from dried fruits will damage the digestive tract. Meanwhile, dried fruit is available year-round and is quite easy to cook. Having cooked such a compote, taste it: if the fruit taste is off scale, slightly dilute the compote with water - so it will be easier for the digestive tract to digest it.
