There are many methods of pickling cucumbers, this method is the simplest one we know. It's very simple: we take cucumbers, put them in jars, fill them with water, add salt and spices - and twist them. Read on for details and a detailed recipe.

What you need for simple salting
Cucumbers - better young, not very large, they will turn out to be crispy, 10-12 centimeters long
Garlic - 5-7 per can
Salt - 2-2.5 spoons for each can
3 liter cans + lids
Additionally - horseradish leaves, dill umbrellas, blackcurrant and cherry leaves to taste

The easiest way to pickle
1. Cover each jar that needs to be sterilized with leaves and herbs.
2. Place the cucumbers in the jar.
3. Plug the jar with horseradish leaves.
4. Fill with water - each can of 3 liters will take about 0.5-0.7 liters of water.
5. Pour salt into each jar - 2-2.5 tablespoons.
6. Close with sterilized lids.
7. Let the cucumbers stand for 1-2 days at room temperature - the active salting phase takes place in the warmth. Then remove the cucumbers for 2 months in a cold place or in the refrigerator.

How to speed up pickling and keep them crispy:

- cut off the tips from cucumbers
- add a flat teaspoon of citric acid to each 3-liter jar
- add 1.5 teaspoons of sugar to each jar
- if you need to pickle large cucumbers, it is better to soak them in cold water for a couple of hours.

Secrets of Crispy Cucumbers
- The younger the better. Large cucumbers have flesh, which becomes loose when salted, and does not turn out crispy. By the way, small cucumbers contain more sugar, so the pickling process is faster.
- Do not over-salt the cucumbers: a can of 3 liters should take 2-2.5 tablespoons of salt, no more than 60 grams.
- Under-salting is also very bad for cucumbers: 1 tablespoon of salt is too little for a 3-liter jar and the cucumbers will not be salted at all.
- The salt is ideal stone.
- Store cucumbers during the summer in the basement or cellar, or in the refrigerator.
The whole procedure for preparing 5 cans takes a maximum of half an hour.
